Ewonta Marketplace is a new PrestaShop module that turns a standard online store into a multi-vendor e-commerce platform where multiple independent sellers can manage products, orders and their own storefronts.
Instead of running the entire catalogue from one Back Office account, a marketplace owner can onboard external merchants and manage the platform centrally.
Dedicated seller dashboard
Each seller receives a separate dashboard without access to the PrestaShop Back Office.
From their account, sellers can manage:
-
products;
-
orders;
-
finances;
-
payouts;
-
messages;
-
store settings;
-
notifications.
This keeps marketplace administration separate from day-to-day seller operations.
Individual seller storefronts
Every merchant can have a dedicated public store page within the marketplace.
The storefront can display the seller's name, logo, description, contact details and product catalogue.
Customers can therefore see not only the product they are buying, but also which merchant is offering it.
Product management
Sellers can add and edit their own products directly from the seller dashboard.
The module supports key product data such as:
-
product name and descriptions;
-
images;
-
pricing;
-
stock;
-
categories;
-
features;
-
combinations and product variants.
Important product changes can also be submitted for moderation, giving the marketplace owner more control over catalogue quality.
Orders, commissions and seller balances
When a customer places an order, the marketplace can associate products with the relevant sellers.
Each merchant sees the orders related to their own products and can manage them from the seller dashboard.
The module also introduces a financial layer for marketplace operations, including:
-
seller earnings;
-
marketplace commissions;
-
seller balances;
-
transaction history;
-
payout requests.
This is what turns a simple multi-seller catalogue into a real marketplace workflow.
Customer and seller communication
Ewonta Marketplace includes messaging between customers and sellers.
Customers can contact a merchant directly, while sellers receive messages and notifications inside their account.
Keeping communication within the platform can simplify support and make the purchasing experience more consistent.
Who is it for?
Ewonta Marketplace can be used to build:
-
niche marketplaces;
-
regional marketplaces;
-
B2B platforms;
-
supplier and manufacturer marketplaces;
-
industry-specific marketplaces;
-
multi-brand platforms;
-
marketplaces based on an existing PrestaShop store.
It is also suitable for established online stores that want to expand their catalogue by onboarding third-party sellers instead of stocking every product themselves.
The core idea
Ewonta Marketplace adds a multi-vendor layer on top of PrestaShop:
sellers → products → storefronts → orders → commissions → balances → payouts
At the same time, the existing PrestaShop ecosystem remains the foundation of the project, including the catalogue, customers, checkout, payment modules, delivery integrations and other extensions.
This makes it possible to build a marketplace without developing the entire e-commerce infrastructure from scratch.
